In a significant achievement this August, the team from AgDrone.au embarked on a transformative journey by attending the esteemed DJI Academy. Four intensive days of training culminated in a momentous outcome: every member of the AgDrone team met and surpassed all requirements to become certified DJI drone instructors.
The core focus of the academy revolved around three pivotal areas: Drone Safety, Chemical Safety, and Precision Flying. The team delved into the intricacies of responsible drone operation, understanding the nuances of airspace regulations, emergency procedures, and accident prevention. This knowledge equips them to impart essential safety protocols to aspiring drone pilots.
Chemical Safety, a critical component of modern agricultural drone applications, was thoroughly covered. The AgDrone team gained insights into proper chemical handling techniques, storage practices, and the integration of drone technology in precision spraying and crop management. This module ensures that they can guide farmers and agronomists in utilizing drones effectively while adhering to safety standards.
Precision Flying, the art of navigating drones with finesse and accuracy, honed the team’s skills in capturing precise data and executing intricate aerial manoeuvres. These skills are pivotal for tasks such as topographic mapping and site inspections.
AgDrone.au’s successful completion of the DJI Academy exemplifies their commitment to pioneering safe and innovative drone operations. Armed with their newfound knowledge, the team is poised to elevate industry standards, providing invaluable guidance and promoting responsible drone use. Their achievement not only benefits AgDrone but contributes to the broader advancement of drone education and technology.
